Certified Student Workshop Presenter

CASC is proud to announce this new certified training program for student presenters

Call for Workshop Presenters!

An essential element of Convention are the engaging, empowering, and cutting-edge breakout sessions that are presented by students and leadership experts from around the state. We encourage ALL potential attendees (both advisors AND students) to consider presenting a workshop.

Students in grades 8–12 that are interested in being presenters must attend the pre convention CASC Presenter Certification Program.

Workshops are 40-minute long and are scheduled during three session times. Presenters are generally only scheduled for one or possibly two sessions to allow them the opportunity to attend other workshops.  CASC may also limit the number of workshops accepted in each category in order to offer a wide selection to attendees.  Only one workshop per presenter will be accepted due to scheduling issues.

CASC is looking for a diversity of workshops centered around the strands of CTRISES:

  • Citizenship [Global Citizenship, School Climate, Voter Registration, Rights & Responsibilities, Forums, Advocacy, Elections]

  • Training [Officer Training, Bylaws, Officer Training, Meeting Management]

  • Recognition [Respect, Ceremonies]

  • Inspiration [Teambuilding, Communication]

  • Service [Community Service, Charitable Fundraising, Environmental Awareness, Mentoring, Tutoring]

  • Engagement [Diversity, Accessibility, Ethics, Anti-Bullying, Mental Health]

  • Spirit [Homecoming, Pep Rallies, Social Events, Spirit Programs, etc.]
